All members to the 2010 All-America Auto Racing Team happen to be chosen by members from the nation’s motorsports press. The initial Team will be the biggest actually selected through the American Automobile Racing Writers and Broadcasters Affiliation, which includes a new group. They also developed a new Growing Star Award to determine the individual generating the biggest name for racing.

Open Wheel, Inventory Car, Street Racing and Drag Racing groups are in disagreement for the Jerry Titus Award. 9 votes arrived up to the team’s Driver with the Year that consists of two previous Titus winners. The winners will likely be named inside the All-America ceremonies in Indianapolis, Ind., on Jan. 9.
Four in the Titus winners this year are Indy Car champions Dario Franchitti (2007, 2009) and Tony Kanaan (2004), and NHRA champions John Drive (1996, 1999, 2000, 2002) and Tony Schumacher (2006, 2008). Schumacher is really a 2nd Team choice this year and Kanaan earned Honorable Point out.
The Growing Star award for 2010 went to IRL Firestone Indy Lighting champion J.K. Vernay, 23, from France. He took a third from the votes from a fifteen name ballot. He won by four votes beating out NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie from the year Austin Dillon, twenty. Third runner up was USAC driver Kody Swanson, 22 with 5 races and 4 victories in USAC series.
